Mrs. Nell “Virginia” Dowell passed away Monday. She was born October 13, 1947 in Bremen, Georgia to the late Emmett and Mildred Boykin. She was educated in the Heard County School system and received her GED from the West Ga Technical College; united with Zion Hill Baptist Church, Newnan; and was employed with Milliken (Kex, Hillside) plant for 36 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Angela  (Michael) Copeland, LaGrange GA; son, Mr. Jeffery  (Nancy) Boykin, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida., Pastor Walter (Veronica)  Dowell) , Theotis Dowell, and Larry ( Phyllis)  Haynes,  all of LaGrange; sister-n-law: Betty Boykin, Lagrange GA; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

The Service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. The family will be at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Angela Copeland at 117 Bartley Walk.
