Mrs. Betty Jean Edmondson passed away Wednesday at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Georgia.

Mrs. Edmondson, a native of LaGrange, was born Dec. 3, 1938 to Fred Atkinson and Mattie May Thornton.

She graduated from East Depot High School, was  a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, and was previously employed by Dr. Down and Dr. Schaufler.

Survivors include her son, Mr. Freddie Atkinson; five grandchildren; special relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. The Service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Southview Cemetery. Pastor J. Terry Barnes will officiate.
