Mr. Ben T. Ambrose, Jr., 82, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at his home.

Born Oct. 26, 1938, in Cordele, Mr. Ambrose was the son of the late Benjamin Thomas Ambrose and Sarah Adkins Ambrose. He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army, earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in 1961, and retired as a Senior Process Engineer for Milliken and Company following 38 years of service. Ben enjoyed gardening and splitting wood, but most of all he enjoyed studying The Bible. He was a member of the Christian Biblical Church of God and was ordained as an Elder in 2014.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Ambrose of Hogansville; step-daughter, Corinn (Dennis) Byrne of Australia; brothers, Richard Spurgeon Ambrose of Vienna, Georgia, Robert James Ambrose of Manor, Georgia; and his sister, Alice Kathleen Black of Gainesville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Thomas Ambrose III, and his wife, Kim Ambrose.

Funeral services were 3:00 p.m., Monday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.  Elder Nolan Joseph officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
