Revolver stolen from truck on N. Lee Street

A Smith & Wesson .38 Special Revolver was allegedly stolen from a man’s truck sometime within the last month at the 300 block of North Lee Street. The man told police his truck was parked behind his residence and he only uses it when he and his wife go out of town. The man said the revolver, valued at $275, was taken from the center console of his unlocked truck. Nothing else was reportedly tampered with or taken.

Couple arrested for alleged marijuana possession

A couple was arrested for violating the Georgia’s Controlled Substance Act for possessing less than an ounce of marijuana on Robertson Street Monday. According to the police report, an officer originally responded in reference to a dispute. When talking to the couple, the woman, said she was addicted to muscle relaxers and showed the officer a prescription bottle, where he noticed a black tar like substance. According to the report, the officer asked for consent to search the residence, and once given, found suspected marijuana and a marijuana grinder. The man and woman were then arrested.

Woman’s house burglarized

A woman’s house was allegedly burglarized on the 1200 block of 2nd Avenue between Friday morning and Tuesday. The woman told police that when she and her family came back to their house, they noticed the door was kicked in and shirts they did not own were in the master bathroom. The woman said there was no additional damage and nothing appeared to have been taken.
