Two arrested for drug possession in Hogansville

Two Newnan residents were arrested in Hogansville on drug related charges, including trafficking, Monday at 5 p.m. 

According to a Troup County Sheriff’s Office press release, criminal and narcotic investigators conducted an operation that targeted suspected drug dealer Schaffery Rosser, 39.

It was unclear how long the investigation was going on or where the two were arrested. 

“It was just an ongoing investigation,” said TCSO Sgt. Stewart Smith.

Two small bags of marijuana, two small bags of methamphetamine and 160 ecstasy pills were recovered by the TCSO, according to the press release.

Rosser was arrested with his partner Taylor Mauldin, 24, who was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Rosser was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug related objects.
