Two vehicles stolen in separate incidents during last week

Two vehicles were allegedly stolen in separate incidents last Friday and Wednesday.

According to a police report, a Chevy Tahoe was taken from LaGrange Toyota’s lot at 3 a.m. A Toyota employee told police that security footage shows the vehicle turning onto Lafayette Parkway.

According to the police report, the vehicle was valued at $30,000.

In a separate incident, a Honda Accord was taken from Walmart between Tuesday at 11 p.m. and Wednesday at 1 a.m. According to the police report, the vehicle was valued at $8,000. The police report did not specify which Walmart.

Woman arrested for slashing tires

A LaGrange woman was arrested Wednesday for slashing a vehicle’s tires at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center. According to the police report, a victim told police that all four of her vehicle’s tires were slashed.

After viewing security footage, police saw video of Kenyatta Favors, 38, slashing the victim’s tires, and the victim was able to identify her.

After contacting Favors, she was arrested, according to the police report. According to Troup County Jail arrest/ release reports, Favors was charged with criminal damage to property public. 

Rifles stolen

Three rifles were allegedly taken from a shed on the 1000 block of Dunson Street between Aug. 22 and Wednesday. The owner valued the 20-gauge J. Stevens Arms 237 bolt action shotgun at $150 and two .22 caliber Marlin model 60 rifles at $160 each, totaling $470. 

The owner told police that the rifles had locks on them.

Residences burglarized

Three residences were allegedly burglarized in separate incidents between Aug. 20 and Tuesday. 

A Play Station 4 was taken from a residence on the 1500 block Brownwood Avenue Monday. The homeowner told police that she left her house at 6:30 a.m., and when she returned at 8:22 a.m., her backdoor was kicked in and the game system was taken.

The Play Station 4 was valued at $320. 

According to the police report, a neighbor told police he saw a young male enter the residence and exit it five minutes later. 

In a separate incident, a dirt bike, pressure washer, riding lawnmower and weed trimmer were reported taken from a shed on the 100 block of Johnson Street Monday afternoon. The homeowner told police she had last seen the items on Aug. 20. 

The homeowner valued the dirt bike at $2,800, the pressure washer at $200, the riding lawnmower at $500 and the weed trimer at $150.

In a separate incident, a 65-inch television and Play Station 4 were taken from a residence on Hadaway Court Tuesday between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. The homeowner valued the television at $600 and Play Station 4 at $1,000.
