Mary Jean Cameron passed away Friday.

She was born May 4, 1943, to the late Charlie and Mattie Cameron in Troup County, Georgia.

She was a member of Mt. Springs Baptist Church of West Point. “Lillie” received her education from the LaGrange School System and graduated from East Depot High School, Class of 1962. 

In addition, she graduated from Troup Technical College and West Georgia College in Carrollton, Georgia.

She retired from Troup County Board of Education.  She served as a teacher for thirty-two years. She was loved by many educators and students. Lillie also served as a Beautician for many years.Survivors include her sisters:  Willie Ruth Simpson, Carolyn (Lee) Dunlap; uncle, Norris Hurston; aunt, Daisy Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

The Service will be Saturday at 2 P.M. at First Baptist Church, Fannin Street.

The excellent care of Ms. Cameron is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
