Luke “Bubba” Robinson Hill, Jr., 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, in Fernandina Beach, Florida. He was surrounded by his wife and children.

Luke was born in Covington, Georgia on Dec. 16, 1951, to Luke and Evelyn Hill. He was a graduate of Newton County High School and LaGrange College. He was a four-year letterman in basketball from 1970-1974 and later inducted into the LaGrange College Athletic Hall of Fame. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of LaGrange.

Luke was a small business owner, president of Certified Plumbing & Sprinkler. All who knew “Bubba” will remember his larger than life personality, infectious humor, his basketball shot and golf swing, but most of all his love for family and friends. Luke never met a stranger, always had a smile and handshake for everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Barker Hill; son, Jason Barker Hill (Mandy); daughters, Audra Jolynn Hill and Rebecca Hill Ferguson (David); five grandchildren, Alle Strickland, Luke, Audrey, Anna Frances Hill and Letta Ferguson; brother, Robert Hill (Betty); sister, Jo Ann Smith (Harold); five nieces and four nephews.
