The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce will hold a series of candidate forums to take place in advance of the May 22 primary election.

The forums are scheduled for 6 p.m. on April 30 and May 1 at Del’avant Event Center in downtown LaGrange. On April 30, candidates for Troup County commission chairman and board of education district 7 will answer questions related to their local races. On May 1, candidates for state senator district 29 and Georgia House of Representatives district 133 will have an opportunity to share their views on issues that may have an impact locally and on a statewide basis.

“The chamber is proud to present these important forums that give voters an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates on the issues that lie ahead,” said George Bailey, 2018 Chamber Board Vice Chair for Public Policy. “I encourage voters to attend the forums and to then vote for their candidate of choice.”
