On Tuesday, Vance Smith (R-Pine Mountain) was elected to represent District 133 at the Georgia House of Representatives.

Smith has served two previous terms in the state house, and he won the primary race for the seat in May against Christopher Gyening. He ran unopposed in the general election.

“I’d like to thank everyone in District 133 for their support,” Smith said. “I appreciate everyone going to the polls. I think that is very, very important. I’ve had a lot of comments from people throughout the district [who are] excited about this election that is taking place. I’m really thankful to be able to go back and represent the citizens of District 133.”

District 133 includes parts of Muscogee, Harris and Troup counties.

Smith and his wife, Michele, have three children, Bo, Suzanne and Kip.
