Troup County is hosting a Zoning Public Meeting on Dec. 10 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss changes to county development and zoning codes.

The county would like to invite the community to attend to contribute ideas and feedback for the improvement of Troup County. The meeting will be held at the Mike Daniel Recreation Center at 1220 Lafayette Parkway in LaGrange.

Troup County is currently updating county regulations pertaining to development and zoning to develop a Unified Development Ordinance.

This community forum will offer a chance to meet with Troup County staff to learn more about this process and to contribute ideas in relation to how the development and zoning codes could be improved.

At the meeting, citizens of Troup County will receive the opportunity to give feedback on the following questions and areas of public interest:

  • What types of development or uses do you want to see more of in Troup County?
  • What types of development or uses do you want to see less of in Troup County?
  • What type of development or uses is Troup County missing?
  • What types of development or uses do you want to make sure does not occur in Troup County?
  • Are there other communities in Georgia or in the US that you think should be a model for future development in Troup County?
