City of LaGrange holiday closings, garbage/recycling pickup reminder

The City of LaGrange will be closed for business Dec. 24 and 25 for the Christmas holiday.

Garbage and recycling pick up service will be normal on Christmas Eve.  Citizens are asked to have cans out early so city crews can finish as quickly as possible and get home to their families. There will be no brush pick up on this day.

Garbage and recycling pick up service will not run on Christmas Day, Tuesday, Dec. 25. Service to residents will be one day later than usual. Service for homes usually served on Tuesday will be Wednesday. Wednesday service will be on Thursday, and Thursday service will be on Friday.

The City of LaGrange will also be closed Tuesday, Jan. 1. All garbage, recycling pick up will be delayed by one day, beginning on Tuesday. Monday, Dec. 31 will be a normal pick up day.

The city has placed several extra garbage bins throughout the community to help with overflow trash during the holiday season. The bins are at  the DFACS Building on Hogansville Road, Hollis Hand School, Granger Park Track, Brenda Boulevard at Kings Park Lane,  Colquitt Street near McGregor Street, Daniel Street at Dix Street and Wilkes Street at Unity School. The bins will be available from Saturday, Dec. 22 through Monday, Dec. 31. 

The City of LaGrange’s Police and Fire services will remain open.
