City of LaGrange names water superintendent

The City of LaGrange announced on Tuesday the hiring of Jason Clifton as the city’s water superintendent.

Clifton was superintendent of water and wastewater facilities in West Point for 15 years. During this time he earned a master’s degree in business administration from Columbus State University. For the past three years, Clifton served as the assistant superintendent of water treatment for Columbus Water Works. 

He has class 1 certifications in water and wastewater and also has State of Georgia backflow certification. 

“It’s an honor to serve the City of LaGrange and its citizens in my new role,” said Clifton. “ I look forward to working with the water division staff to provide safe drinking water and reliable service to our community.”

Clifton began his position Monday, May 13.
