Former Troup County Sanitation Litter Control Coordinator Shane Morris joined the ranks of retirees this week after 35 years of service, according to a press release from the county.
Morris began as a jailer in the Troup County Sheriff’s Office on July 1, 1987. Throughout his career, he supported citizens and numerous Troup County departments in a variety of roles, including deputy, work release director, warden, shop manager and sanitation litter control coordinator/marshal.
“I dedicated my life to my career at a very young age and strived to be the best I could possibly be, and I loved every minute of it,” said Morris.
“I will never forget those that helped me along the way, and I can only hope that I made a difference and was helpful in someone’s life in a time of need.”
